Added a touch of my candied anise-seed eggplant to the caramelized onions. Roasted the tri-tip (2lbs) at broil for just under 30 minutes, turning once. Acme long italian bread was a fine substitute for their torpedo rolls. Served with a bean-free corn, pepper and squash succotash.
